My friends tease me for saying "I can make that" whenever we go shopping anywhere (or out to eat!)but they love that I can craft things that I would otherwise buy for more money. Quick Trick to Protect Your Stuff

Felt seems to pick up hair and lint like no other fabric in my collection, but it is one of my most useful fabrics. It doesn’t fray, it cuts easy and you can glue it anywhere.

We have a nice wood floor in one room. We also have a metal box thing that we wanted to put in that room, but we were worried about it damaging the floor. Especially because we were planning to put weights and exercise stuff in it. I used a piece of felt under it. All I did for this one was cut it to size and place it beneath the metal box. Now it slides easily if we need to move it, and I’m not worried about it scratching my floor.

The next thing I needed to protect was my new wooden crib. I would like to keep it nice for my next kid as well as for this one. Someone bought us a plastic mobile. This mobile is plastic and screws tightly to the side of the crib. A piece of felt fixed that too, I cut two pieces to size, and placed them on either side of the wood.

My latest fix was this cute metal bucket that I hung on the door for fall, it kept banging up against the door. I used tacky glue and glued some felt scraps to the back. It works great, even when it’s windy!

Next time you are at the craft store pick up a few sheets of felt or even a yard or two of it, you never know when you’ll need it!

This is awesome! I bet it would work for stabilizing frames on the wall…just enough traction so they aren’t crooked all the time!
