Family Fun Day at the ASU Art Museum
Looking for some fun, indoor activities for the kids this summer? Take them to ASU Art Museum’s annual event, Family Fun Day, on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Admission and parking are free. Kids can tap into their inner artist through a variety of hands-on projects. Entertainment includes performances by local magicians and the Great Arizona Puppet Theater. Maya and Miguel will make an appearance and kids will also enjoy some Zumbatomics, which is Zumba designed especially for children.
While you’re there, checkout Collecting Arizona, on display from now until September 29, 2012. The exhibit is in honor of the state’s Centennial and features regional artists’ work in a variety of mediums. Don’t leave the museum without stopping by their award-winning store.
If you can’t make this event, you can visit the ASU Art Museum on the first Saturday of every month for some family fun. Enjoy art related activities and crafts, often artist-led and tied in to an exhibit, where the learning is hidden in the fun. As always, admission is free.
